@ByteThis it's definitely not the scraper. When i'm connected to the internet it runs great. But my pi won't stay connected longer than like 15 minutes. I was told to disable ipv6. Which I thought I did...But I got kicked off again. Reinstalling.

@markyh444 said in WiFi dropping on reboot, weird x00x00x00x00 networks...:

@dochartaigh if you search for nearby WiFi on say like your phone, does that random network show up as well? People near me name their wifi some right random things.

My mate used characters and symbols to draw a sword for hers previously.

Nah, that weird x00x00x00x00 never shows up no matter the non-Raspberry device I search for networks on. The RP4 also showed there being like 2+ different x00x00x00x00x00 networks at the same time a couple times: https://i.imgur.com/YukMVcW.jpg

ALL other devices, unlike the RP4, also ALWAYS see my 5ghz network, from my phone, to tablet, to Kindle, to my friggin Nest thermostat and Amazon FireStick, etc.

The RP4 doesn't see that 5ghz network a lot, and commonly gives me errors when it tries to connect when it actually sees it. All other devices can connect to that 5ghz, which the RP4 can't a lot of the time even when it finds it). And this morning the RP4 didn't see a SINGLE wifi network of any type and they're tons around me being in suburbia. I have no clue what's going on lol.

Actually, have a look at this document:
      https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Wifi/#hidden-ssid

I think you need to add wpa-scan-ssid 1

Hopefully its just a bad commit thats fixed fairly shortly. Interestingly I tried it (With both Zero & ZeroW) with a USB Wifi dongle and this actually hard locks the system after a few minutes, whereas a previous image works without any issues so clearly something going on surrounding wifi/network.
